I found myself recently with the extremity to be able to create System.Drawing.Color objects that were shades of a special to color in terms of “lighter” or “darker”. For those unceremonious with color theory you may be aware that the best color space to undoubtedly manipulate that information falls within HSL where the values of L are the H and Value in relationship to Unconscionable and White.

I wrote a custom object stock which I have called ColorPlus.

This class has 3 public properties and a separate constructor.  You create this object by compulsion a System.Drawing.Color object as the input parameter.

Once the goal is constructed you can access one of it’s three public methods.

GetLighterShade, GetDarkerShade, and Shader.

GetLighterShade: You d this a double value between 0-100.  It will return a System.Sketch.Color object that represents the new shade of the color.  Where the spectrum of colors downhill between White (0) and the original pure color (100).

GetDarkerShade: You old-fashioned this a double value between 0-100.  It will return a System.Picture.Color object that represents the new shade of the color.  Where the spectrum of colors move it between Black(0) and the original pure color (100).

Shader: You antiquated this a double value between 0-200.  This is just a combined method of the two other properties allowing for a free access point to both methods.  It will benefit a System.Drawing.Color object that represents the new shade of the color.  Where the spectrum of colors cooperate with between Black(0) and the original pure color (100) and Unsullied (200).
